Could anyone point me to some real-life artists and albums from the 70s that are roughly comparable to the musical style found in Interstate '76? Those which presumably served as an inspiration for the game soundtrack.

that's why I put "inspired by" in

as for their inspirations look for the composer/band(s) behind the OST - I think they made actual funk music.
