As I recall, the I76 network code wasn't NAT compatible. Some people got around this by copying over the .dlls from Battlezone. Any word on whether this re-release will be appropriately patched?
Also, Activision used their own proprietary multiplayer servers. I wonder if there will be any servers available now.

I'm guessing, but worst case scenario will be to use Hamachi logmein and run LAN style games over the net.
We could always set up / advertise here for online matches (just need to set up a Hamachi channel)

oh man, i remember [GUN] and VMA. i mostly played i82 though (yeah, shameful i know) and posted custom paints on i82.co.uk.

GoG said by email that multiplayer by direct IP address should work. Looking forward to testing it.
A quick google search lists these as the most recent anet server addresses if anet works on this version.
