Everytime i play a mission or training mission or melee, well for whatever reason when i start the game. during ingame my sound is good for about 5 seconds and then its starts humming and playing pretty much every sound in the map. all cars that idles. It sounds as if i am hearing all the cars engines that are on idle....... i am not sure it its NITRO.ZFS file thats corrupt.... like i said I'76 works my original I'76 works....
just really frustrating as the purpose of this purchase was for me to get NITRO cause i cant purchase it anywhere and gog.com was my last resort... hate for piracy but if some1 who owns the cd could possibly make me an image of the NITRO PACK as i feel i aleady purchased the rights of ownage and i just want to get this to work....
when i have time i will create a youtube video with sound to clarify my statement....
i tried the nitro demo and the sound issue did not arise...
like i said i dont really touch I'76 as i already have the original i just got this for nitro and now i have this issue...
hopefully ppl have experienced this before and figured out a solution?

I have this problem too and I'm not exactly sure why just yet. What sort of setup do you have? Have you tried the Launcher 2.0?
It's fairly annoying, as I can only play Nitro on my 98 box [which runs fine].

Trying running The GOG version in d3d mode
like : c:\.....\i76.exe -d3d
worked for me.

Did you ever find a fix? I'm having the same problem, directx mode doesn't solve it.
