A new project has started to help fix some of the problems in the Nitro Pack version of the game. Currently there is an update that allows for more modern resolutions, framerate lock (which fixes a lot of the issues like wheel wobble and mortar distance), and most importantly, adds uPNP to the networking, which allows for multiplayer games through modern firewalls. More fixes are on the way.
