I just successfully hosted a game with Kali, which enables IPX connections over the internet.
This is the last major hurdle to get everything running like it's 1997 (only better).
Groovy!
Maybe GOG needs to implement their own Kali-like software, to support the multiplayer capabilities of these games.

That'd be cool.

Did you register a lifetime serial with Kali?

I just tried Kali again with a new registration. Even after forwarding ports on my router, it still doesn't work, and keeps telling me its "simple firewall test" has failed.
I give up.
I have also succesfully hosted a game using Kali.
Not much point hosting a game nobody will join though.

Maybe it's your firewall that's getting in the way ? The windows one or whatever you're using ?

Its Zonealarm. I tried to forward ports there, but it froze my PC when I started up Kali.

I don't have the game , and i don't do multiplayer or lan, but i do have some apps that require both port forwarding on the router and on whatever firewall is running in the OS, that's why i mentioned it.
Can't you temporarily disable zonealarm's firewall just to see if it works then ?
I tried without my firewall. Still no luck. At this point I can't determine whether it's the firewall or my router.
I'm getting really frustrated with this.
Anyone up for a game today? Say 21:00 GMT?

You wanna try and rehost again?
Go to IRC (http://webchat.quakenet.org/) #gog, its easier to chat there.
Game's up.
Anyone out there?
