I'm experiencing some issue with Interstate 76 that is causing some textures to be rendered in a crazy collage of colors.

I tried to take some screenshots to show what I am talking about, but screens came out wrong. I took 1 screen with Fraps, and it actually looked fine (not at all like what I am seeing in game)

Then I took a prt scr screenshot, and it came out still different, but closer to the problem I am having.

Basically, take the odd color textures of the cars, and road in screenshot 2, and map that onto the normal textures of everything else you see in screenshot 1, and that is pretty much what I am seeing wrong. So everything looks fine, except the cars, the roads, bushes, and the heads up display.

I tried a few compatibility modes, and nothing seems to fix it. The game itself runs fine. No stuttering, or any type of lag.

Anyone have a clue on how to fix this?

edit: sorry bout the topic title...meant 76, not 78

Try putting -glide in the shortcuts properties target field.

Something like this.

Hi

It looks like the "normal" explorer issue.
There's a tool which fixes this for me.

http://sven-of-nine.de/site/doku.php/projects:oldgames:windows#das_falschfarben-problem

The Site's in german. Just download suspender.zip unpack it and start "suspender.exe" as admin. Click START and run interstate
I noticed that the Nitro pack was installed with Admin rights but I-76 was not.
I changed the properties to Run As Administrator and the car interiors were fixed. No more lurid, acid trip colors.
Oh, and keep screen resolution at 640x480. As soon as I switched to 1024x768, the car interior went screwy again.

thanks. running as admin worked for the default resolution, but the suspender program to run along with the game was the ultimate fix, I was able to then switch to a higher resolution
I've had this problem with the game since I purchased it, all I do it repeated change the resolution and eventually the colours will stick on the higher resolution. You can also help the game by running your computer's display in a lower resolution.
