Sadly these cards dont appear to work with I'76 even if you have atiumdag.dll version 8.14.10.662....

I have noticed the cards are too new and you also cant resort to old Catalyst Drivers 9.5 or lower as they will not detect the 5xxx and 6xxx series. I used my old ATI 4850 and Nvidia Geforce 210 and the game appears to work in Windows 7 64bit.

Really sad I love this game but I truly cant be bother to physically install one of the cards into my machine and the drivers just to play the game. an then repeat the whole process again when I wanna play something newer.

Would be a real fantasy tale come true if they redesigned the game for today's technology........

Have you tried the solutions listed in the two sticky threads in this forum? Especially the discussion of various Glide wrappers? You might be able to get it to work that way. I hope so anyway... I've got an HD5870 so if the game won't work with it I'll be disappointed!

Also, you should be able to run the game in software mode.
yip tried the solutions... cant get the games to work with the wrapper in d3d or 3dfx mode with the new age cards... no problem with my older cards just a no go with the new ones. sadly the game is drifting away further and further as new technology comes into play...

frankly they should do a revamp of the game for todays machines. activision are just absolutely useles...

That sucks. When I get around to trying it myself I'll let you know if I figure out a way to get it working.

In the meantime, anyone else have some advice? I remember there was discussion of a few alternative glide wrappers such as nglide to use in addition to / instead of the fandmade launcher, so maybe those would help? Might be worth sticking with it, unless you're fine with playing it on the machines with older graphics cards.
can you make a partition under vista?

I have it installed with the arsenal launcher and it works.

specs:

windows vista x64
ati radeon hd 5770, driver 11.5
