Hi there,

When I start the game everything works great, but when I create a character, watch the intro movie and then start the actual game, I see nothing but a black screen with the various gameplay bars around it. Simply I cannot see anything accept the mouse. After mashing a bunch of keys and clicking around I could access the world map, and inventory, char screen etc work fine. But no game graphics.

Is this a problem with my laptop card? I meet the other specs, 1.6 gigs of ram 1.7 processor...

The video card is Mobile Intel 915G/GMS, 910ML Express Chipset Family

I downloaded latest direct X from the microsoft site just in case

I am running Windows XP

Thanks for any help!!!

Try to put off the AA setting in the graphic drivers (in windows)
Minimum system requirements: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7, 1.8 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM (1 GB recommended), 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended), 2GB HDD, Mouse, Keyboard.

When you say "1.7 processor" doesn that mean 1.7GHz? Then you don't meet the minimum requirements and always, always double check how powerful a GPU is in laptops as they're usually inferior compare to desktop equivalent with weird model names.

Unfortunately the minimum requirements aren't very specific for what kind of GPU is needed but yours seems supported but I would take a guess it's too weak.

For what it's worth when I play the game requires about 100MB video memory and it uses DirectX8 according to latest version of MSI Afterburner however the engine seems quite unstable. After 2 or 3 hours play I have to restart the game and if my FPS goes under 60FPS (when I record the game while playing or swithc weapons) the mouse moves around in random direction. I think the game is more demanding then the creators have specified.
