I will try: direct south of the temple there is a broken column lying on the ground. Between this column and the green well there is a small stone stash with the statue inside. There is pavement from the temple around it.

You have to find the testament in the ecclesiastical tomb in the Alvaron cemetary first. Before that you cannot open the stash.

where is the third statuette? in the scroll from the tomb is written the third is somewhere in the first cathedral or something like that. should that be one of the two cathedrals in the alvaron?

It's in the church in a corner on the ground (sometimes the Pontifex stands directly on it). High perception level will help to find it.
