Drekkar: Hi, i was wondering if increasing a skill for exemple from 7 to 8 was useful, or there was a change only when you reach a new level of mastering like disciple ?
Sorry if it's hard to understand what i am asking ^^
Hi, increasing a skill level should usually be advantageous because the equations used when calculating various effects take the current skill level into account. For example, as far as a priest and his Wisdom skill goes, the Journeyman level of this skill means that "the spell penetration increases by a *certain* percentage", and this percentage is calculated as 3(X-15) where "X" is the current skill level.
Thus, generally speaking, reaching a new mastery level grants a new bonus (reaching the Disciple level in Wisdom means that the priest's stamina cost when casting a spell decreases [by 1/2(X-5)%], reaching the Journeyman level means that the penetration of his spells increases as well [by 3(X-15)%], and reaching the Master level means that the time needed to recharge his spells decreases as well [by 4(X-15)%]), while increasing a skill level enhances the qualities of all the bonuses granted by the current mastery level.
