,I tried to play this at release and really could not get into it. so I'm going to give it another try before I decide to uninstall it, I'm a sucker for a good story and feel I'm missing something if I dont give it a final chance.

I'm going to try a priest (kinda makes sense RP-wise for an inquisitor) this time, so any advice on skills to get or avoid would be a great help.

As for abilities, I'm focusing on Intelligence, Speed and Constitution. In skills, I put points mostly into Wisdom, Alchemy and all the schools of magic. Useful spells (according to me) are: Raise Dead, Holy Ground, Divine Mercy (Divine Magic), Lightning, Purge (True Faith), Levitation (Magic of Miracles), Sixth Sense, Curse, Light, Crucifixion (Inquisitorial Magic), Decay (Heretical Magic), Shatter (Pagan Magic). These are the spells I was (or am) using most. Locust Swarm (Magic of Miracles) is reported as a powerful attack spell as well if I recall correctly - but I haven't had a chance to try it out myself since the scroll is still eluding me. You don't have to invest into Identification (Sixth Sense is far better), Perception (I have 6 points in it and am satisfied, but others were reporting that a Perception potion lasts long enough to make it more useful than the skill). And maybe you should put a few points into Melee Combat - sometimes the last blow can be dealt with a melee weapon when an enemy is breathing in your face and you have to wait for a spell/seal cooldown.
