I read here that you can press D to make party characters not auto drink potions, one of those necessary tips the game doesnt give you it seems. :P However it seems my paladin companion is still drinking my potions. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I was blown away by the dialogue and the story, only 1-2 hours into the game and I really want to enjoy it.

Also if you have any game making tips for a paladin, please tell me. I realise melee is apparently the worst of the 3, but I really want to play a paladin so Ill suffer a harder difficulty if its not impossible.

I believe that there should be no bug in this feature - if you press D, a message should display in the bottom panel saying either "The characters in your party CAN drink your potions automatically", or "The characters in your party CANNOT drink your potions automatically". And it should be working correctly, as far as I know.

Thanks for your reply. I can see Hugo isnt using up my potions, but he is using potions. A text message is displayed and I can see graphical effects on him and that he is healing. Does he have his own inventory that I cant access?

No, as far as I know your companions do not have their own inventories. What text message is displayed when Hugo seems to be drinking a potion? And isn't there a priest nearby? Some of them can heal you or your companions automatically if I'm not mistaken...
