[Note i have mastery of thieving which involves unlocking chests]

I am now in act 2, but there are two chests that i haven't been able to unlock from Act 1.
the secret rock pile next to the tree of death, and the ghosts treasure chest Hirthir or w/e his name is in the Iron Mines.
Please if you have info post asap.
there must be keys somewhere..... how can someone with mastery of thieving not even be able to unlock 2 chests in act 1...

I don't know about the tree of death but the ghost kings treasure is obtained when you complete a quest for him (kill the orc leader). I'm thinking you probably don't get access to it if you instead side with the orcs and kill the ghost king.
The rock stash near the death tree is quest related, so is the one in the pagan temple and in the alvaron church.

In Act 3 you can get the most powerful sword in the game thanks to them.
where to get the quest for tree of death's stash? and where is the chest in the pagan temple?
awwww that sucks! i should of talked to him first.. then killed both of them...

and thanks Akachi, that's very helpful
Don't worry there wasn't anything in there that important. I don't think I got anything I could use as a thief. Then again I get the feeling that chests are completely random. He does give you a yellow (artifact?) melee weapon iirc. So it's basically all cash loot for a thief.
yeah wouldn't help me much, i got this axe called destroyer, i can't use it since its journeymen level, if only you could give your companions items that'd make this game just a bit more sweeter
Indeed. I've tried passing them items in vain. You know this game has actually made me want to play the original fallouts again.

Same dude!
i never played fallout 1, i beat fallout 2 after beating Arcanum, Arcanum took many files and years of playing before i beat it (never had the patches till after ), it's one of my top 10 games of all time , have you played it?
You know I got arcanum at some point and just couldn't get into it at the time. I know I probably just didn't give it enough of a chance. I kinda doubt my copy was patched either. I guess I'll have to give it another try if I can find it here in this mess. :P

The premise sounded promising and it came highly recommended.

lol because I'm a privacy freak that ops out of everything automatically. I didn't notice it was pm's that I was opting out of.. not sure I'm the person to ask about act 2 though. I'm slowly working through it myself.

Do play it. Personally I think that, safe for a lot of features, Fallout 1 is superior to 2. And both are vastly superior to Inquisitor. F1's got a much more serious note, it's much more coherent, and ... well, quite simply it's a masterpiece. And it's not all that long either, you'll finish it within a week of 'normal' playing.

I definitely will, i've beaten every fallout but the first what's funny is is started with the 3rd then the 2nd then the 4th now the 1st lol
and Arcanum before all of those, gotta love the world of arcanum

War, War never changes...

Fallout 3 and FO:NV weren't as good as I remember the originals were and that's why I'm itching to play through them again. lol I was even thinking of trying to run Fallout 1 in dosbox on my tablet just for the hell of it. But several weeks later and I haven't made good on the idea. I'll probably just grab it from here cause I'm lazy :P

It's too bad that Bethesda and Interplay had to have it out in court over the franchise rights for an MMO. Interplay's Fallout MMO is no more. I seriously have my doubts that Bethesda can pull off an elder scrolls mmo much less fallout.
