Oh please god tell me there is a way to turn off mouse acceleration, or at the very least some way to play this game in a window, if not both. I despise mouse acceleration with a passion.

As far as playing in a window is concerned, you can go to "Documents\Inquisitor_SaveGames", open "d3dparams.ini" and change
StartWindowed=0 to 1

I find it odd that the d3dparams.ini in the gamedata folder does nothing. That was the first thing I tried editing.
Unfortunately, windowed mode doesn't seem to fix the mouse acceleration issue. I thought it did for a moment, but I was wrong.

d3dparams.ini in the game's folder is a default configuration used when launching the game for the first time, after that it should use that one from Documents folder.

sear: There is no mouse acceleration as far as I know, but the game is v-synced so there is some mouse lag introduced. You can try using your graphics control panel to force the game to not use v-sync, though this might introduce more issues.
No, the mouse acceleration is VERY noticeable. I have not used mouse acceleration (or "enhanced pointer precision" as Windows likes to call it) in years and it's throwing me off because of how inaccurate it is. I have experienced this in other games, and most of the time there is a hidden .ini setting that can turn it off.
Just in case, I tried forcing vsync off and there is no change.

sear: Hmm. Strange. Try using the following fix:

http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.ca/2010/03/markc-windows-7-mouse-acceleration-fix.html

I've had that installed for years, it prevents any program from turning Windows' acceleration back on (some games do this, for some horrible reason). Maybe I just never noticed because of it.
No luck, unfortunately. The fix definitely worked, since if I turn on acceleration in the Windows mouse options there's no effect, but my mouse is behaving the same ingame.
I mean, it's not a big deal. Just an annoyance to have to switch into and out of getting used to acceleration. It's odd that we aren't having the same problem though.

A bit strange, there is definitely zero mouse acceleration for me.

I hope you sort it out.

I found changing my screen resolution to a much higher one fixed the mouse problem.

I can confirm that has happened for me too. I think it has something to do with LCDs not playing in native resolution. Sometimes when I play old games that only support 4:3 1600x1200 as highest the cursor don't move equally fast for Y- and X-axis but I don't recall experience direct mouse acceleration of some kind. However, I do have a mouse where I can force it off and I always check config files so I can disable both mouse acceleration and mouse smoothing.
Hey, necropost here; I just picked up Inquisitor and I'm having this exact same problem. Did anyone ever find a fix for it?
