can someone tell me what to do with the Magical Box?

Right click it, click the destroy button, close inventory, watch the events unfold ;-) But save before doing all that, you might need it later.

Ah thanks so now I know to handle the wax figure too ;)

A word of advice: if you destroy a magical box a ghost/genie appears. If you set it free (last dialogue choice) you can get one of the following:

+1 attribute points
+1 skill points
500 gp
A magical item

It's random, but the game saves before a dialogue so try and try until you get a skill point/attribute point.
I advise NOT to use it as a vendor or get out of dungeon free card.

When you have got 9 of those things on you at any given time, 100 000 money in your pocket and a vendor who sells infinite ammount of those, you WILL be using it as a vendor quite often :-P Oh and by the way, if you choose healing, you can always pick another option.

Sorry, but no, it's still a waste of skill points IMO :)

Besides, most stuff you find is almost worthless junk anyway. Only plate armors, gems and magical items matter.

I had to backtrack only once, in the mines. Now clearing lizardman caverns and still have lots of space.
