This game looks amazing, but had a question: Is it party based? A couple of the screen shots make it look like you have multiple characters in your party, but wasn't sure.

It seems like you control one character but you may choose to admit other people and form a party.
From the manual:
"The main character can admit subsidiary characters into the party that will be willing
to accompany him and to help him. That is quite important because two (eventually
three or more) characters are a force to be reckoned with. After admitting a
subsidiary character as a member of the party, his portrait will show up next to the
portrait of the main character.
Subsidiary characters have an intelligence of their own, you can nevertheless issue
them simple commands (using keyboard shortcuts) that the subsidiary characters
always obey. You just have to remember that a command is always issued to the
whole party; hence you can’t issue different commands to different party members."

Thanks. I guess combat might be a bit tricky then if you can't have one party member attacking one enemy while another fights somewhere else.
Think of it as a Fallout-styled party RPG where you don't have control over the other members but you also don't have that damn Ian constantly shooting you in the back, either :D

Nice. though to be fair, while I bought Fallout here, I've yet to play it!

Similar to Arcanum perhaps?
You can have companions but you do not control them. They die often :)
And do we have a stupid Marcus reloading endlessly his Power Fist while he doesn't have any ammo for it ?
Yes, I really hated him for that. Having him take all his APs (and there are a lot) to just slow down the fight and do nothing but check his ammo...
the good part is that you can revive them

You can? Could you please explain how? That'd be very, very useful for me. :D

You can use the Raise Dead spell from the Divine Magic for this - see Book of Magic, page 20 for more details.

Oh, okay. Any chance of asking the priests in town for help?
is there any dialogue between party members, like baldur's gate, or it's more like icewind dale, where you can't talk at all with your party?
No dialogs, only when you hire/fire them.
