kojocel: I think this game is in a DIRE NEED of a patch in its current state, definitely not a sequel.
^ This.
I posted the same thing on the Greenlight page for Inquisitor 2.
Basically, if they are talking about developing a sequel and have said that development of the first game has been halted completely due to the developers moving on, why can't they allocate resources for fixing the first and where are resources for developing the second going to come from?
I liked the first one, but in it's current state, it's too buggy. I wouldn't buy a sequel unless I knew that they were going to release it and support it, which can't really be guaranteed at this point given their history with the first. I understand having a buggy release, it happens, but to abandon development and then start talking about a sequel a few months after the release of the first, that's no good.
EDIT:
They responded to my Greenlight post:
"Shinook: We are just trying to gather opinions on some aspects of a possible another game set in the world of Inquisitor. We would like to know if people are interested in such a game and if so, what would they prefer (see the discussions above). We are not working on this game yet, just thinking about it and bringing ideas. Given the fact CINEMAX is a small studio, it's currently not possible for us to prepare a major patch for the first game or start the development of another one. But that could change in the future, of course."
Seems like they are just testing the water, which is reasonable.
