I can't figure out how to fix my weapon and armor. I have the smithing skill at a Disiple level. I have placed that skill in the quick slots to the right. I hit the "number" for that skill and right click the item I want to repair. This does absolutely nothing.

Can someone explain how to use the smithing skill?

I am also having trouble with the occasional fight. I was having trouble with a fight in the mines with one ot the bats. When I didn't seem to be able to kill it I gave myself infinite hitpoints and infinite stamina and let the fight go on for an hour. With a weapon I hit for about 25 points. Once the weapon breaks I hit with my fists at the rate of 1 hit per second for 10 points on average. I let it run for a hour. Assuming the average hit was only 10 points, I hit for over 2.2 MILLION points. The bat is still alive. Are there enemies in this game that are immortal?
For smithing you need to assign the skill to one of your quickslots (like you've done), but then with that quickslot active right-click in the standard game interface (not your inventory). Doing this will automatically bring up your inventory and change the cursor to an anvil and hammer, and from there just left-click on any equipment you wish to repair. Keep in mind that your smithing skill determines the quality of items you can repair, so at this point you'll probably get the "Skill too low" message when trying to repair any of your higher level items (blues and yellows).

Not sure what's going on with that bat, definitely sounds like a bug.

I agree.
Thanks a million. Works like a charm.
