I began to load Inquisitor, but during the loading process, the game stops and my screen goes back to my desktop. The game icon is still in my taskbar, so I clicked on it again, but the same thing happens - loads for a moment before going back to my desktop. I am at a loss for ideas. Can anyone please help me?

You should give us more information about your system (OS, hardware, etc.) in order to get help.
That said, if you are using a modern OS, you could try setting the game to load in compatibility mode for "Windows XP".
