I read in some reviews that the english translation is a bit awkward at times. Is it still the case or has the new patch improved this aspect? I'd like to play this game but if the translation is still being improved maybe I'll wait. Can somebody give me an indication? Thanks

As far as the non-dialogue texts go, the latest patch features a polished version of item descriptions and notes/proofs from Nick Garrett. He also polished quest descriptions in the meantime, but these won't be used until the next patch. As regards the dialogue texts, Allison Smith may be working on them now, but I haven't heard from her for some time (and it will take a long time to polish these texts, at any rate).

Altogether, I think it depends on how much you notice awkwardnesses in text - some people can't play with something like this, while others don't mind them, or don't notice them at all.

Hey there,

How should we understand "a long time"? Could this be even a year or more?

Cheers!

Yes, it could be. The thing is, we can't polish the text ourselves (no native speakers in our company), we can't afford to pay professionals to do that, and there aren't many people out there willing to spend all their leisure time polishing a large amount of text for an old RPG game for free.
