Menu works fine, character building works fine, then it tries to load the actual game and crashes every time.

Tried different resolutions including default, no effect.

Any suggestions?

Both of you, try posting your specs + monitor resolution and configuration. Trust me, you most likely won't receive any official support.

Didn't get from GOG, but same problem. XP SP3 4850 ATI with 512mb AMD dual core 5600, 4GB ram and 5GB free on the hard drive after install.

I think it may be a problem with playing the movie as part of the install includes installing INN0 graphic drivers, which is very unusual.

Right, got the game working and this is what I did:

I reinstalled Windows Media Player 11,then I installed FFDShow 1.3.4507 MPEG4 codec, DIVX codec, DScaler 5 MPEG decoders and xiph.org open coecs 0.85, 17777

Now maybe just one of these is what was needed, but i wasn't going to download a coec, try the game, download the next codec, try the game, so I just downloaded them all!

After installing all the codecs, the game worked. So this probably is the answer for you.
