Is this a button-mashing type RPG like Diablo, or a turn-based RPG?

Based on the trailers, this is a real-time RPG like Diablo.
So it'll be like Divine Divinity? Sweet.
Real time combat. Bloody difficult at some places. Playing it I was thinking all the time "why the hell didnt they implemet at least a PAUSE button?!"

So it isn't quite like Divine Divinity in that aspect. I wonder, has this game already been released in czech, and the GOG release is it's english debut? In the trailer they mentioned that it took three years just to translate it.

Exactly. The original was released in 2009 after 10 years of development.
There are loads of texts (conversations and item descriptions) and loads of bugs. Hopefully the EN version will be more bug-less than the original.
Superb game by all means.
Combat is similar to real-time combat in Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura (you could switch between turn-based and r-t there if I remember well, but there's only r-t combat in Inquisitor). You have to care about your stamina, when it runs out, you become tired, can't fight or run away and you are pretty much f... ...dead.

Yeah, this is the best comparison, although the combat is better than Arcanum's real-time stuff. In fact, other than the lack of a truly open world to explore, Inquisitor feels very much like Arcanum, minus some of the more "hardcore" RPG trappings (i.e. character system is not as advanced).

I hope it's better, because real time combat in Arcanum was very poor. It's the only instance I can think of where I would choose turn-based over real time. However, this was largely the result of having a large party. With that, the combat became confusing and frantic and with too much danger of friendly fire.

So, people are talking about Diablo2. Are there unique items in the game? Set items? What kind of loot are we talking here?
I just spent 25 minutes killing some bats around the town... just so I can get in the damn town.

Sigh... my tolerance is soooo hiiighh right now. I want this game to be awesome because I havn't played something like this in a long long time.
