do they not work on gog game tryed with no sucess

They should work in all versions of the game which means that you are probably doing something wrong.
You have to press ~ (next to 1) first to open the console (a cursor will appear in the top left corner of the screen) and then you can start typing in your commands one after another confirming them with Enter. Just don't forget that you have to start each command with "\" for the game to recognize it.
