It took me 10 minutes to be able to post this, the forum software refused to, because of the restriction for having few messages and trying to post links (to other threads in this subforum). I love internet 3.0, you get treated more as a spam bot than as a real person.

The message:

As stated in these threads, the Act 2 quest involving Jeanette and Brookwelt is broken:

Alikh: 2) I´ve already killed Jeanette, but when I go back with Christian, the only dialogue options that I have are: Christian: "What do you want Father?" Me: "The answers Christian, I want the answers from you." And "Farewell". Even after killing Jeanette, I can go with Welfhar to accuse Christian for heresy. As you said in another post about this quest, I have to accept immedialty to solve his problem with Jeanette. If you want to be the most objective and fair guy telling him that you are going to investigate well the facts first before making any accusation, the quest will stay unfinished.

They need to fix the scripting and maybe dialogue, because if you don't assume Jeanette is guilty beforehand (the exact first time you talk to Brookwelt, in the first or second response, when you don't even know who Jeanette is nor have any information about) the quest remains unfinisheable.

There is another dialogue bug in Act 2, talking to Duke Rowan van Leerin for the first time there is an answer that starts a conversation where your responses are said by the Duke and the Duke responses are said by you, ending in another bug where the conversation is over but there is no option to finish it, you have to restart the game (a hard restart, because the game is blocked in the conversation window and you can't exit from there).

I agree that scripting isn't ideal in this case. But the fact is that the Brookwelt's quest doesn't remain unfinishable, there simply is no quest to be finished. Because if you, in your initial dialogue with Brookwelt, choose "I don't believe your denunciation...", you don't receive the quest at all. But it does look like the game is punishing you for trying to be "the most objective and fair guy". I will report this to the developers but I'm not sure they will fix it.

Do you happen to know which answer causes this problem? Because I'm not able to reproduce it here.
The Brookwelt/Jeanette matter is broken by the most basic RPG convention, because even if devs think the blind answer is the way to go (pick Brookwelt or Jeanette when you know nothing about), when you have the obvious proof against Jeanette (when she attacks you as a daemon), you should be able to go to Brookwelt and tell him something like "you were right, she was evil" and he answering "I told you idiot, screw you" to finish the matter.

The way it is now, after the Jeanette attack, Brookwelt dialogue keeps blocked and you can still charge him with heresy as if he was the evil one.

About the other issue, I loaded the closest saved game to the first dialogue with Duke Rowan van Leerin but I couldn't reproduce the bug, I got it 3 times when I was in that point but now I can't, maybe it was related to the order in which I spoke to each character.

That's exactly the solution I mentioned to the developers yesterday. Let's wait for their answer.

Yes, this is a bug that will be fixed in 1.10.17 (it was already fixed, in fact, the patch just wasn't made public yet).

Never mind, thanks for your effort anyway. Maybe someone will encounter this issue as well and will be able to fill in some more information.
Hi!

I've finished all quests in ACT I, made all the discussions, but I can not find Glatzburg at the map.
What should I do?
Thank you so much!

East Glatzburg becomes visible on the world map during the final dialogue with Bishop Quentinus. The final dialogue starts when you come back to him into the Hillbrandt church after you have received Letter to Bishop Trevorius from Edmond d'Arvias. Quentinus will also give you a new quest at that - "Seek Bishop Trevorius".

All right, I made a few changes in the script, the developers approved of them and here is a screenshot of how it will be working from update 1.10.18 on...
