Is this version different?

UPDATE. So I bought the game, and it is working fine.

Hello,

Its great GOG brings this Game back to life! I still got the Gold Edition on my shelf. :D

And concerning the Gold Edition I got a question before buying. Is the Addon Included in the new GOG release and if not, will it be published on GOG?
The add-on is included (check by looking at the campaign list, it contains 6 campaigns including e.g. the Z Files). The map editor is missing, but can be downloaded elsewhere and works here.
Thanks GOG for updating and patching this old classic and making it available again!

I find this game SO addictive - I've never even played the campaign missions, I just load up a big map in "endless" mode and experiment with manufacturing and transporting as many products as I can. Hours can just disappear before I remember to look at the clock and realise how late it's getting!

And it's great that you've included the "1980 - 2020" add-on too. Extra maps, goods, vehicles etc, but also improvements to the control of storage facilities that make it easier to manage your goods. Brilliant.
I bought the game today.... when i ran the game after installation a messgae popped up telling taht my nvidia did not support the game, so i restarted the game and the nagging did not return, so far , so good... ? . nope....

When the game is launched and the main menu displays, all icons are clickable and in place.... so far so good ... ?

nope .........

The thing is that annoying 'refreshing' like effect is back in this game, i had a similar problem a long while ago with
https://www.gog.com/forum/victoria_complete/game_has_a_irritating_kinda_of_refresh_like_on_screen

i disabled the taskmanager in the taskbar (right) , hwmonitor is not running, (i have it running all the time cause i want to keep track of my temps.)

Anyway for now the 'flashing' seems to be gone, but this kinds of 'problems' are inconvenient and should not be happening, i mean having to close down tasks running in the background in order to prevent some flashing effect is a sign of bad coding, i have older games that work a charm, with all processes running in the background.
Well i hope there wont be to much games that behave as bad like this one and the victoria game, its a PC afteral , not a console that can only run games, and tasks should be able to run all the time and games should behave themselves and run properly without flashing.

So if anyone else has the same problem like i have then make sure there arent any process running that refresh now and then.

Btw while i was writing this reply i had my hwmonitor turned on, the game was minimised to the background check the attachment for a screenshot, those readings are pretty high, at idle they are around 45 degrees celcius
and the cpu fan is aroung 1700-1800 max.

imagine playing this game on a hot summrs day, without any open windows and no airco.... ouch..... that would be BarbQ time i guess, the sad thing is, most unity based games or XNA framework are bad performers, when i run desperados or other old good games i have little to no problems , but the games written using the AGS, will give best performance on my quad core :D

The-Business: The add-on is included (check by looking at the campaign list, it contains 6 campaigns including e.g. the Z Files). The map editor is missing, but can be downloaded elsewhere and works here.
In this case GOG should update the game description because presense of addon is major buying factor.
