Hi.

If I press F5 during the game and set the "music" volume to zero, the music still plays during the game.
I've also tried setting the "sound effects" volume to zero, and it makes no difference either.

I want to have the voices and the sound effects, but not the background music.

Is it possible?

When you click the game icon, ScummVM window opens up and you can change sound settings therefrom by selecting the game and then Options. First try setting the Music volume to zero in the Volume tab. If that doesn't help, try playing with different audio outputs in Preferred Device under Audio tab,

Thanks for your reply.

I tried both those things.

I even set the "Preferred Device" to "no music" but is STILL plays the music.

What is going on?

I thought it might help in your case. With me, in Linux, lowering music volume to zero using in-game controls doesn't turn it off completely, but a very faint tune could be heard in the background. I suppose some bug is at work.

You could download the latest ScummVM from the official site and install it system-wide. Then you add the game by pointing to its installation dir. This would rule out any problem with the packaged ScummVM version. Try everything you did so far anew.
