Can anyone explain to me how the fighting works? I've checked the manual but I can't figure it out the way it's explained there.
I've tried fighting the backdoor guard by insulting him, but I lose the fight everytime.
Where should I click? His face? Indiana's face? How fast? When?
I know there's other ways past the guard, but I want to take him down. Thanks for your help.

Using the mouse has never worked well, you need to use the keypad (press f to switch between mouse fighting and keypad fighting). You may need scroll lock off for keypad combat to work.

7/4/1 - move back
8 - block high
5 - block middle
2 - block low
9 - punch high
6 - punch middle
3 - punch low
0 - sucker punch (will beat 99% of enemies in one hit)

Was there a recent update that fixed the mouse for fighting?

I just beat him by clicking my mouse on him really fast until he fell down.

I tried holding the mouse button until the power bar increased, but then he just hit me. So I just kept clicking.

I do not know if the multitude of weak-fast-punches will work in any future fights, but it did with the bouncer.
If I remember correctly, if you beat your opponent by sucker punching him, you won't score any Indy Quotient points.

Yes there are consequences, but if you don't care to max out the IQ it's totally worth it. They're Nazi's after all.
