UPDATE: I pulled up Mechwarriors and the joystick works perfectly in there, so the problem is specific to those games.

Hey guys
Recently purchased a Thrustmaster T.16000M joystick.
It works perfectly in the Windows calibration utility, every axis is responsive.
However, in I-War there seems to be a deadzone, but strangely it is an uneven zone and it's most prevalent in the right X axis, where I have to have push the stick as much as 10 degrees in order to get a response.
The Z twist axis also have fairly large deadzone in both directions.

This is not the only game where this problem appears. In Tie-Fighter, running off DOSbox. I get the same problem to a lesser extent. All axis work fine except the right X axis, which needs to be pushed further to be activated.
This is very puzzling considering that fact that there are no problems in the Windows game controller utility.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After tinkering with I-war 2, I've figured out that the joystick calibration seems to be tied to the game's aspect ratio.

The 4:3 ratio being stretched to fit widescreen also 'stretches' the joystick coordinates.

Unfortunately, I-war 1 can't seem to run in windowed mode, which would probably fix the calibration.
That's weird.

You can fix the I-War 2's widescreen aspect ratio with the instructions from here:

Thanks Ravenger.
Coincidentally, I had just done that widescreen edit and discovered I was wrong.
The aspect ratio has nothing to do with it. Maybe I was imagining things, haha.

However, the good news is that I did find the fix, for I-war 2 at least.
They dead zone parameters are right inside the flux.ini config file. All I had to do was reduce the values and it was perfect.
