More often than not, in mid to late game, when I hit end turn, or when I am accepting or buying goods for sale, my game freezes and crashes. Sometimes if I open a previous same game and play from there the same issue doesn't happen, but then other times the game is done for no matter how many saves I have.

I vaguely remember this happening in the game when I first had it on disc all those years ago.

Anyone else have this problem? Or can recommend a solution?

It depends on which game you're talking about if you're talking about imperialism 1, the fact of having too many ships can (sometimes) cause the game to crash.

Try to reduce your fleet, by sending for example only 3 ships at a time, I do it once and the crash has disappeared.

Same thing for land armies, invading a capital with too many troops can also cause the game to crash.

Unfortunately the game is quite unstable, if only someone could make a source-port or at least recreate the game as it has already been done with X-com, (alias: Ufo Defense) this way we would have:

- A better resolution
- Music that really works
- No crashing

Yes I know it's a sweet dream but Imp1 will really need it.

But if you ever talk about Imp II, I think the same thing is valid.
