all of my ship cargo is used for trade, but i want some of it to transport new world goods back, how do i do this

In transport menu there are bars next to things you are producing (green - transported by land and blue - by water) and you can assing ships by clicking on those bars (thing you want to transport has to be connected to port). Ships not assigned to navy duty or transport are automaticaly used for trade.
