Ladies and Gentlemen:
Can you set my mind at ease? I just bought Imperialism II from GoG yesterday. I tried to download the game without using the GoG Downloader tool. The download failed but most concerning was that my AVG antivirus said the file included Trojan malware. I didn't write down the exact message, sorry.
Has anyone heard of contaminated downloads from GoG? This is my first time purchasing from them. They seem trustworthy but malware is scary. Was AVG being hyperactive?
Note: I also bought Alpha Centauri and Conquest of the New World and used GoG Downloader to install them without incident. Could AVG be interpreting something in the file as a Trojan?
Please advise and thanks ahead of time for your help. Imperialism II is one of my all time favorites. The games always go the same way yet it is somehow highly replayable.
