There exist alot of "could of" games..unfortunately this is one of them...the game is unstable and crashes after most user controlled battles...I'm at the point where I only buy games after theyve been out a year or two or three because American programmers are just throwing out trash for us to beta test before they try to sell their titles to Xbox or PS3. Gog however is a breath of fresh air I dont blame Gog just the original game manufacturers.
I have this same problem. The game freezes then crashes after one of my army's are attacked and it doesn't save until it is my turn so I have to fight the battle over again and usually it just crashes again.

If I let the computer do the battle i still win but with ridiculously high losses. What is sad is it is killing what would otherwise be a perfectly enjoyable game.

Does anyone have some ideas or suggestions?

What OS are you running?

I'm running Win7 64 bit and had to run the game in compatibility mode for Win 98, otherwise the game would crash after battles.

Win 98 didn't work for me, I couldn't access any of my save games. Win XP SP3 seems to work though.

As of March 1st 2011, this is still an issue. Running Win 7 Home Premium 64. Crashes to desktop after every use controlled battle. Or, freezes the entire computer such that it actually requires a physical reboot...unplug and plug back in.
Still issue. Only happens with GOg version. Didint happen with my old versions
Having the same crash-after-user-controlled-battle issue here. Running Windows 7 Ultimate on a 2011 Mac Pro (natively). Would highly appreciate if someone could look into the issue (and possibly write a fix). Otherwise I recommend NOT buying Imperial Glory since the most exciting part of the game is broken (user controlled battles)
Same Problem for me with Win7 2 of 3 battles crashes, running with Win-XP-Modus reduces the number of crashes burt doesn't solve the Problem, Win-98-Modus does not work.
Win-XP-Mode together with "running as Administrator" work, played 4h yesterday(7 battles) without problems.
On windows 7 It's important to run it on compatibility for XP service pack 3 and also as administrator. I've read elsewhere turning the game volume off in the option screen also greatly reduces crashes. It still happens on rare occasions but far less often.

Hope this helps.

The developers are Pyro Studios from SPAIN and Robosoft Technologies from INDIA. Gog is from POLAND.

I used to play this game with only the occasional crash. Recently I reinstalled it on the same old machine (Vista) and now it crashes after almost every battle, which makes the game unplayable.

I tried running in XP compatibility mode and ran as administrator, as suggested in this forum. Unfortunately this did not help.
