I've been trying to complete the first pyramid without scrolls or weapon pickups and I'm finding the end boss to be incredibly frustrating. His hit box is so small and his attacks feel pretty cheap, and most basic loadouts feel weak on him.

Is there another pyramid that's easier to do this on, or am I stuck having to do it on him? I'm getting sick of having to do redo the same 3 floors over and over again just to fight him again. And people complain about boss runs in Hollow Knight or Dark Souls.

Edit : Finally managed to do it with Seth. His tesla pistol is amazing and you can hit all of the weak points with his active if you're fast enough, but that clap attack is pretty cheap because it comes out quickly and you can barely dodge it.
