Has anyone else noticed major slowdown issues with Imagine Earth Demo v1.6.9.4890?

When the game shows the planet, it would load, then barely run, then load again. It would do this over and over making the game unplayable.

I'm running Win10 64-bit.

So I just tried the latest version of the demo, v1.6.14.4992, but unfortunately the video stuttering issue is still present. The game still isn't playable with this bug.

There's a section of the game that shows a planet, but then it will pause and the Windows loading icon spins for like 10 minutes. This occurs multiple times in the demo. Is this an optimization issue with the game?
Hi IronArcturus,
can you have a look into C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp\ and see whether there are a lot of files (100+) starting with cur and ending with .tmp? We have experienced something like this before and I'm wondering whether it's the same issue.
If so, please try to delete those files and see if it works afterwards.

Hi Martin!

I've been playing v1.7.2.5039 of the Imagine Earth Demo, and it's a little more stable. But I've noticed that pressing the Escape key causes the game to freeze and show the Windows loading icon again. The game really needs to have its own loading animation and it should show the percentage of how much data is loaded into RAM.

I was playing the Imagine Earth Demo v1.7.4.5048 on the "Tuto" planet. But when I completed that mission and the character said "good work," the Windows loading icon shows up again and the game crashed. Will this be fixed in a future version?
Hi again. as I wrote:
