I bought il21946 from this website


I can join servers that allow mods like battlefield and skies of valor fine on hyperlobby

Yet I get timeout = 1 everytime I try to join stock 4.11.1 server like Fun4ALL, IRSS Dogfight, or GriJDedicado

Sometimes I can join stock server, but most of the time i cannot. One time i just changed my network settings to LAN in il2 and I could join griJdedicado..another time i shut down computer and restarted and I was able to join grijdedicado


-I don't have any mods installed
-I've deleted and reinstalled game like 2 or 3 times..even redownloaded the game from GOG.com
-Turned off firewall and antivirus


Someone said timeout = 1 is a error that means the game version is not the same, but stock servers on hyperlobby are 4.11.1 and my game is updated to 4.11.1

Only thing i can think of is maybe harddrive is dying and some file is corrupted or ethernet card problem but like I said i am able to join two servers everytime with no problem and that Skies of Valor and Battlefields 1 on hyperlobby

You might try reinstalling HyperLobby. Remove all traces of it then reinstall. Otherwise I don't know. Your gamepath is correct or you wouldn't be able to join a game at all.

Oh, I have been timeout'ed when a server was full, but that doesn't seem to be your problem.

I'm having the same problem and it seems from the "chat" we are not the only ones. I removed all traces of IL2 off my computer and purchased 1946 from GOG but I can't seem to get it to download even though I loaded the GOG downloader. I foolishly thought I was going to save myself hours of reloading and patching. Now I'm dealing with where is my purchase.

Usually if I shut down/restart my laptop I can join the stock CRT servers

Really hope GOG comes out with a patch/fix for this. ...Damn mods..

The downloader worked ! I just wasn't doing it right and the installer installed it patched up to 4.11 The game works. I just need to patch it to 4.12. Here's hoping I don't get the "timeout 1" problem any more. At least I have a no Mod version to work with. Always back up your clean version before doing anything!

Ok. I think i figured out what is causing my timeout 1 problem

I think it's a hardware related issue on my end. Every time I shut down and restart I can join any stock server on the first try. I think the shut down/restart is when my RAM is fresh. In game i Have to alt-tab out a lot for more resources which causes some connection issues I believe

That has to be what it is. I have a really low-end laptop that is struggling lol
