Wow, seems like a comprehensive update. I wonder if the GoG version will update to 4.10. I'll be happy to redownload this latest version.
Has anyone just tried applying the patch to the GOG version?
Yes, I had no time for exhaustive test but so far the patch seems to work flawlessly with the gog version.
I did apply patch 4.10 last night and it plays fine with the GoG version, thanks guys ! I tried out the new single mission with the new Ju-88 and the circling torpedoes. That was nice ! I can't wait to try the other new missions. Did TD also do some updates to the DGEN or NGEN ?
If you already have UltraPqack 2.01 installed, just run the UPupdater and it will add patch 4.10m patch as a mod that can be enabled and disabled through the JGSME mod enabler.

You are welcome. The UPupdater is a great solution to most problems. May need to run it two to three times to make sure it gets everything, but yes it simplifies alot.
I would consider leaving the upgrade optional until 4.10 is more accepted in the community. A bit of dissent right now I'm afraid.
I'm little confused about this update since it's not made by Maddox Games, but group of volunteer modders. So, is this official or unofficial patch? I know Oleg has given his blessing for the team, but still the patch is distributed through unofficial mirrors and torrents, not by 1C or Ubisoft

The IL2 community considers it as official patches. Pilots who "will never use a mod" use these patches. It is the only "mod" allowed to be discussed on the the official IL-2 forms.

I installed it over my retail version of Il2 1946 and now the game wont' start. Time to re-install and not patch to this.

What patch version was your retail version? I know the DVD comes as 4.07m and as 4.08m. and the patches are not all encompasing, but build upon each other. So if your retail version is 4.08m, you need to patch it to 4.09m before patching it to 4.10m.

The other is, if you have any mods/enhancements in your game, you need to disable them and revert the game back to stock 4.09m else conflicts will arise.
