is it possible to downgrade to version 4.12.2? So far I have understood the installer is 4.11.1. Today most mods are
ready to run on 4.12.2 (HSFX 7.03 for example). But at the moment no mod supports 4.13! You could read it at http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=5027.

So is it possible to do a clean install with 4.11.1 (basic GOG-Install) and then patch it to 4.12.2 with a non GOG-Update?

I think a second upgrade to 4.12.2 makes more sence than your option to downgrade to 4.10. As far as I knew no more good mods use 4.10. They have all been fixed to work with 4.12.2 and need this version for modding.

At the moment I could do a basic install and have 4.11.1. I could downgrade then to 4.10 (which makes no sence for most newer mods) or upgrade to 4.13 (no mod supports). But I haven't the option to upgrade from 4.11.1 to 4.12.2.

For example make two updates available:

Basic installer: 4.11.1
Patch One: 4.13
Patch Two (for modders): 4.12.2 (this one isn't available anymore, since you have changed the update to 4.13)
Downgrade: 4.10 (for the really old mods)

I think the gog installer is version 4.12.2.

It would be good if you could get all the past installers. I kept copies of the past installers for that reason.

No it's 4.13

Have contacted the support (send my post to them). I don't have the 4.12.2 update from GOG anymore. Had a hardware issue on my NAS. The normal Update 4.12.2 seems not to be working.

Any news on a downgrade possibility?
Installed it to today cause I wanted to run HSFX 7 only to find out that IL-2 has been updated to 4.13 -.-

You can download downgrade patch (to version 4.10m). It's on the game's page in your GOG library.

Wouldn't it be easier if the makers of the various mods just updated their files?

Yes, but realistically this rarely happens as this game still rolls out a new patch every year or so, more if you include hotfixes.
Maybe it would be better if gog includes an unpatched version of IL-2 1946 in the extra's, which customers can then patch using the official patches to de desired version.
