Hi,
You can run it on Vista just fine.
Have you tried right clicking the installer and choosing 'Run as administrator' ?
Keep UAC disabled while you're installing the game.

Actually if you have UAC off entirely the 'Run as admninistrator' might not be there when you right click.
The game didn't installed at all, right ? You could try rebooting your pc and trying to run the installer again.

Just.... Don't install it... unless you wanna waste you time learning what every switch does on an obsolete aircraft, instead of killing nazis. Save your time and HD space. Don't be tempted by the eye candy.

This is a flight simulator, not an arcade shooter. Keep that in mind. :-D
i tried to install il2 sturmovik hundreds of times now.
When i try to run setup it says that the seILeng MFC Application doesnt work
(this is after he asks promission and language)
Than i try to instal the game by selecting windows installer on the CD.
When i do that it says "preparing setup" and the DVD-player starts making noise.
(you can hear the lens moving back and forth all the time) and no matter how long you wait, it wont do anything.
I never really played this game (it worked on my previous laptop but he was to slow)
so i hope anyone can help me.

Don't press setup. You can either go to the folder and open the "a" exe. or go to the folder 1033 and open "autorun" No way you can get lost there. Just press "Install." I do have a problem, though, when I try to load, it either takes a horribly long time, or it doesn't work.
