I´ve played Il2 Sturmovik many years ago (yes, many nights lost....), and I´ve downladed now from GOG. Last patch applied too. The game runs fine (oh yes I´m giddy!!!). I went to mission4 to get the fabulous Il2 Stab Manager. Extract it to the c:\games directory under (IL2Stab) but when I try to run it it gives me an error: "IL2 Shturmovik Stab does not appear to have been intstalled correctly. Please run setup from the distibution media again". I´m at a loss here.. Any help guys? Please? Thnx!

Sorry I've never even heard of a stab manager, and I've been fooling with IL-2 for 3 or 4 years now.

I use stab all the time, it's great. You can extract it anywhere but you have to run the setup.exe file before you can actually run the program.

Idk if it's the 4.12 patch or since I upgraded my graphics card, but the explosions and smoke look better now . Smoke from a burning plane looks thicker . And the inclusion of widescreen resolutions is a godsend .
