Alright I think I fixed this font glitch and speed problem for some Win7 users.

1. Make sure to install the game outside of the program files folder.

2. In the game's folder I ran the file setup-ddrawfix, instead of Wind3d I switched to Force direct draw emulation. If I do not do this the game crashes as soon as I try to make it run.

3. Ran the config program, color depth at 32 bit, uncheck OpenGl 3d acceleration. Opengl is what caused the font not disappearance problem.

Now the game runs flawlessly at any resolution!
