Every time I try to run the widescreen mod I get an error. Fatal Error unable to find dialog.tlk

I'm not sure if it will matter even if I get it working though. Playing in windowed mode every time I create a party and start the game I crash as soon as I save. I'd really like to get this going so I would be grateful for some help.
What OS and where do you hvae the game installed? Did you run the installer as Admin if on Win7 or Vista?
Windows 7. I installed the game out of the program files folder into a folder I made on the c drive called GoG.com. I put ToEE in there also and it runs fine. I ran the installer as adim, switched to xp compatibility and run the game as admin.
You have to extract the mod into the IWD1/2 folder and then start the setup-widescreen.exe. ^^
Ok, I put it in the IWD folder and now when I try to run it it is telling me that my game is not supported. I'll tinker some more and see if I am just missing something.
Well, that is just strange...

You could take a look at the official widescreen-mod forums though.
I got it working. Apparently you have to install TotLM? I was just going to use HoW. From what I have read about TotLM it basically unbalances the game. Anyhow it works. Awfully small looking but I guess it is better than before.

Any 'must-have' mods? Or am I good to go as is with widescreen?

Well you could've said you don't use the (original) GoG-Version. Since it comes pre-patched to 1.42 (which is TotLM) I did not even think of asking if you have it installed... ^^

Anyway: TotLM is just an extra dungeon with some Items and XP but no rule changes. You have to port to it via dialog from the HoW-startingare. It does not unbalance the core game per se since you can do it right at the end or not at all.

Modwise, there isn't much to go with. There is an IWD Fixpack, an IWD Tweak Pack and an IWD Unfinished Business from . Pocketplane made an [url=http://www.pocketplane.net/mambo/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=174&Itemid=122]IWD NPC Project. There is also a total conversion out there I believe but I never played it and don't even remember its name.

Installation Order should be something like this:
Fixpack --> UB --> NPCs --> TweakPack --> Widescreen

I used the GoG version but I unclicked the TotLM check box the first time but then I reistalled with both expansions.

Thanks for the help. I think I will just go without any additional mods besides WS.

Oh. I am sorry, I did not know that was possible. Mea culpa. :D
No problem. :)
