Running Win 7 64 bit. Game starts fine. When I try to name my character, or when I opened the Biography screen, the text and place where you type starts filling up with zeros. So I leave it and go into the game and figure I will fix it later. I go back into biography to make the change, and the text is all zeros, and they keep multiplying. I am running as admin, compatability mode, using Open GL, etc. Any ideas?

I may have found the issue. I had taken some avatar portraits I have that I used in BG2 and created a folder in the game called "portraits" and put them in there. They worked in the IW game and were selectable the same as in BG, though, so I don't know if that was creating the problem. Does anyone know how the right way to ad portraits is?

Edit - I have tried the same font with no issue on a reinstall of the game. Only thing I did different was run the installer as admin. All is well.

Damn it - this is still happening. I was making my 5th save or so with no problems, and I went to type in the save game title and it starts spitting out zeros again. What the hell? Any ideas? It only happens on areas where I can add to the writing of the game, like "biography" or in naming saved games.

There's some discussion in this thread of similar problems with a USB keyboard in Baldurs Gate.
