I'm in the temple and am currently disguised as Initiates. I have a Fighter/Mage, a Fighter, a Paladin (I cheated and forced him to wear the robe because I wanted to see the story-stuff), A Cleric, a Rogue, and a Sorceress.

I am having a lot of trouble killing Ojaiha, even if I attack while s/he's still blue to me, and prepare defensive spells. I'm on the lowest difficulty (sad, isn't it?), and I'm just having a hard time fighting this Yuan-Ti. Any tips?

I've been using stuff like Protection Circle against Evil, Bless, Armor of Faith, Haste, Mirror Image, Shield for defenses. I have been casting summon monster spells for attack, along with Cone of Cold and Lightning, among other spells.

It's been three years since I played this game because IWD2 wouldn't work on Win7 for the longest time. Then, I found this site, and got the GOG version. Works like a charm, but I am very rusty on my combat strategies.

Help?

I don't remember having much trouble fighting Ojaiha. Explore the rest of the temple first to gain extra XP, you can get the pillars required to summon the Guardian without fighting.
Unequip the robes and equip your armor before talking to Ojaiha.
Check if you haven't forgotten an useful buff like bull's and champion's strength, stoneskin, emotion: courage, ... and if you chose the order right so they last long enough.
Pause very often to avoid wasting precious seconds doing suboptimal things in combat.

Thanks. I managed to beat it. My Paladin got killed, but... I rezzed him. Thanks for responding. I can't find that half pillar though to summon the guardian.

Can someone help me with that? The walkthroughs I've found are not very clear.

Kay, I managed to find it. When I summon the Guardian, I am having so much trouble killing him. x.x; I usually get him to "Hurt" and then he kills one of my characters.

I've been told that Animate Dead and Monster summons work great against him, except that the monsters get feared and the Animated Dead don't seem to do a lot of damage. :(

Any tips?

If you can't win now just leave him behind and return later when you're more experienced and better equipped.
