I have been trying to set up a Multiplayer game over the internet using TCP/IP, but It never connects. I've tried to port forward on 12975 ( I googled this, not sure if this is correct ) but nothing changed. I've tried dropping my firewall, and allowing the program. I'm running as administrator. I have also tried using Hamachi, but that only seems to work locally. Has anyone gotten a game working over TCP/IP?

I read some mention of Baldurs Gate having a weird quirk where you couldn't start a networked game if the game was running in full screen mode, IWD might have the same.
I use Tunngle and it works. What I found out from trying to play with my friends, though, is that there's a lot, and I say a LOT, of variables and little problems that will make your connections fail. Have you enabled UPnP in your modem? Are your ISPs good enough to allow the connection? (one of my friends couldn't connect due to his ISP being crap). Remember to drop the Windows firewall if you have it on.

We tried Hamachi and it wasn't as reliable as Tunngle ended up being. I recommend you try it out, maybe that will work.

As for the screen mode, we tried that out and it wasn't a problem. You can run full screen with the WS mod and it'll be ok. I suppose if you've tried everything, give Tunngle a go.
