Hi there, I have a physical version of IWDII, and am currently stuck upon returning to the ice temple to slay all of the demons, which are spread about the map. This is the chapter 5 part, after completing the time loop. My problem is, after I slay all the demons nothing happens, and it still appears as if I'm in combat, as far as my party's stance goes. No matter how much I search, there don't seem to be any enemies left, which leads me to surmise that this is probably a bug. Anyone have an idea?

If you go back to an old save and replay the level, does it do the same thing? If so, it is probably not a bug and there is a trigger somewhere that terminates combat.

I vaguely remember having the same thing happen when I played, but it has been too long to remember exactly. This is the part where you discover the source of blood, right? Wasn't the heat-ray weapon and redirecting the mirrors part of the solution? One party member fires the weapon while the others change the angles of the mirrors?

Thanks for the reply, but no, the part you're referring to is chapter 2. I'm talking about the part in chapter five, after the magma chamber time loop in which the mage from the ice temple teleports you in to help him. As the party owes him a favour.

OK, but I thought the heat laser still plays a role in that later chapter, to blast through a wall or destroy the temple or something. Are you sure? TBH, though, I just can't remember. But you might check out one of the walkthroughs posted at gamefaq. I'm sure you will find the answer there.

In Kaos_Reynes IWD2 walkthrough over at gamefaq, do a word search for "Ice Temple Basement (AR4103)". He says you just need to kill everything and go up the stairs. Though you might want to read the part pertaining to the previous visit to the ice temple as well. Maybe you missed something the first time round.

Yeah I've been following a walkthrough, the staircase unlocks once you've killed everything... But I can't find any more enemies on the level. ><

And you've unlocked all the sealed-off rooms? Sounds more and more like a bug. I'd just replay the level.

Yeah, I've replayed it at least three times. I'm going to try to download some of the fan made patches to see if it helps.

Okay, figured out the problem was with the mage, if you don't patch the game, then if you're like me and have the physical copy, he's registered as a game critical character and for me he was either disappearing from the map, or dying, prohibiting me from completing that segment of chapter 5.
