help my character has a continually decreasing constitution and I dont know what to do.
her constitution stat is in red and she every now and then it continues to go down it used to be all the way up to 13 and not its at 10. she dies and I brought her back to life and she still has the same condition and I dont know what to do please help. I dont see any negative effects that would be doing this to her.

If you are a mage and you have a familiar and your familiar dies, your constitution will decrease. Every time. Usually, though, it is not highlighted in red for that. I know in BG:EE there was a bug with familiars where (if a familiar had died) every time you loaded a game your HP would reduce, eventually killing you.

So, first of all let's get which version of the game you're playing. IWD, IWD:EE or IWD2?

Aside from the familiardeath-penalty, the old rulesets had a deathpenalty(dying, being revived=%chance for -Con) and there are some enemies that reduce your stats.

To restore a stat that has a permanent reduction you need a highlevel cleric in your party and the right spell or you have to visit a temple and pay for being cured.

yes my character is a necromancer and her familiar has died several times. I did not know read the entirety of the spell but you are right, her familiar dying is the reason why her constitution keeps going down. I was really freaking out about this. but luckily,

I FOUND A FIX.

its caller EEKeeper and thanks to that I have been able to delete all of her constitution penalties YAY. thank you so much for the help.

also I buffed up m characters lol.
