I noticed that non-default helmets don't show the "Protects from Critical hits" bonus. So I wonder:

1) Is the bonus still embedded and not shown?

2) Does the bonus remove critical hits against you, or just lessen them somewhat? Can't find anything on the manual about it.

If memory serves (wait for confirmation on this though):

helmets completely protect against critical hits*, even the ones that don't have it listed in the description.

* i.e. you can't suffer a critical when wearing a helmet.

Yes, in 2nd edition IE games (BG 1&2 and IWD) all helmets protect against critical hits, which means that no enemies will do them to you.
