II?
How does that work, GOG lists Icewind Dale 2 for Mac and PC, but not linux, and i was told not to expect any new versions since the sources were supposedly lost.
Is this a custom full linux port?

With ./play.it, we use the Windows installer for Icewind Dale 2 sold on GOG, and automatically configure it to run with WINE.
WINE usage should be transparent, the user can configure it but doesn’t have to.

At some point, we might allow running it through GemRB too.

I was having issues running Icewind Dale 2 on Wine 3.6. Black screen at the main menu and a badly flickering mouse cursor. I was able to fix this by disabling CSMT. Just thought I'd let you know, because I was getting the same problem using the ./play.it script.

Thanks for the report, I’ll see if we can automate this in some way.

I have the same issue. What the hell is CSMT and how to disable it?

Edit: All right, I found this option is only in wine-staging. I confirm it fixed the issue with flickering and unresponsive cursor.

Thanks, it looks like this should be done by the ./play.it script if it is a reliable inprovement.
Update

Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition

* Fix dependency on 64-bit libSSL 1.0.0 for Arch Linux
* Fix blocking black screen on launch
Update

Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition

* Build a dedicated package for each localization
English localization is included in the base data package, to be used as a fallback with incomplete localizations.
Installing an extra localization on top of the English one is not required.
Instructions on ./play.it website have been updated, and should be less overwhelming for people using ./play.it for the first time.
Update

Icewind Dale Ⅱ

Disable CSMT: With CSMT active, the game suffers from a lot of rendering issues, making it unplayable.

Use native windowed mode instead of WINE virtual desktop: This makes it easier to switch to full screen display without the need to know what a WINE virtual desktop is and how to disable it.
