I noticed that in one of pictures in the game page there is a fighter with 18 to all stats and I am wondering how they did that.

Anyone know if there a cheat to max the abilities in Icewind Dale similar to the one in BG2? That would sure save some tedious reroling time.

Thanks

Just download the trainer, Dalekeeper. I, at least, find it much easier than using the console cheats.

Thanks for the answer, will check that.

Just one question though, if I change the abilities I will have to correct HP levels, Lore, Saving Throws and so on. Anyone knows if I there is a easier way?
Are you asking "will you" have to change the HP, levels etc.?

No, you can do that independently with Dalekeeper.
Alright, thanks a bunch.

I just want to add that - for some strange reason - Dalekeeper doesn't run correctly with my version of ID (perhaps because I have installed a few mods).
Now I use "Infinity Engine Savegame Editor" which can be downloaded here:

It's also for Torment and both Baldur's Gate games.

Cool deal. I did notice that some mods didn't play nice with Dalekeeper. I think it was the modified item icon and/or the no-helm mod that I added. As long as my characters were naked (just dropping all their gear seemed to work), I didn't seem to get any errors.

However, if the generic IE editor works more cleanly, I certainly suggest using it instead.

Patryn, are you using that editor on Win7? I can't seem to get it to work. Getting an error that ITMfile.bif has an invalid size.
Yes, I'm using Win7.

Just ignore the error. Works flawlessly as far as I can tell.
Thanks, Patryn. I may try it again if I need it. Got Dalekeeper to work for me though, so managed to get my character's stats rearranged (screwed up my planned dual class character).

I'm having the same problem with IESE.

Also, in Dalekeeper, I can make new files and load the edited files up again in Dalekeeper, but Icewind Dale doesn't see them. I'm not sure if I have to change some directories or permissions or what. Anyone else have this issue? I'm using Windows 7.
