My Elf fighter/mage seems to be really leveling up slowly. i know exp is divided between the classes, but he has the most kills by far (bows) and yet is still a level 1 fighter and the fighter/thief is a level 2 fighter. just wondering
As far as I remember, landing the killing blow doesn't affect how many XPs you get. So the number of kills doesn't matter. XP are divided equally between all party members.

That being said, it's weird that your FTR/Thief has a second level in FTR and your FTR/Mage doesn't. How many XPs does each character have in each of their classes, just out of curiosity?
sorry, I'm at work right now and can't tell you
I'll check later
My mistake. The thief leveled up as a thief, not as a fighter yet. Sorry. But looking at it, if exp points are divided equally, why does the fighter/mage have 1732 fighter points, and the fighter/thief only 1690 ?

Is the fighter/mage higher in the formation than the fighter/thief? When exp is divided amongst the party, the game divides it as evenly as possible, then the remainder is distributed with higher priority given to those higher in the formation.

In essence, those near the bottom of the formation will be a little behind in exp at any given time.
Mage is 3rd, thief is 4th - so that makes sense - thanks
Multiclass is a pain for level-up
